New Hire: Darren Keel
By Your Guy @ EYSeptember 26, 2007
So Darren, what brought you to EYStudios?
Darren:
I saw an opportunity to incorporate illustrations into my designs, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. The studio also seemed like a competitive work environment where I could have the ability to produce my very best work.
Your Guy @ EY:
Has your work changed since working at EY?
Darren:
I’ve noticed a definite increase in my ability to produce quickly and my illustration skills only improve. Eric has been able to teach me a lot about cartooning in a fairly short amount of time, and I feel that it shows in my work.
Your Guy @ EY:
What has your experience been like at EY, so far?
Darren:
Well, so far, I’ve really enjoyed the competitive yet fun atmosphere. I really get along with everyone I work with and am not timid about trying to outdo them. I feel that they have the same attitude towards me and that is what enables everyone here to design their absolute best for every client that comes across our desk.
Your Guy @ EY:
What types of clients do you think that EYStudios does their best work for?
Darren:
Everybody! I honestly believe that there is no client, on the market today, that we could not design anything for that wouldn’t be better because they had it made here rather than somewhere else.
Your Guy @ EY:
What has been your best creation since working at EY?
Darren:
I really feel that, in a general sense, each of my illustrations is better than the one before it. Isn’t that the way it should be? I guess once that is no longer the case I’ll have to find something else to do.
Your Guy @ EY:
What has been your most fulfilling experience since working here?
Darren:
It’s got to be a toss up between hearing clients that are ecstatic when they see their illustrations or being able to pass on what I have learned so far to any newcomers that walk through the doors. The clients, often, really make me feel as if I have exceeded all of their expectations. Yet, seeing my co workers advance and progress with their work is just as fulfilling when I know that I was able to help.
